Sainsbury’s gives workforce online financial advice

Supermarket Sainsbury’s is launching online independent financial advice for its 150,000 employees.

After recent trials of the ‘My Financial Friend’ service, supplied by financial consultants Towry Law, the retailer has decided to extend the benefit across the company.

The site enables Sainsbury’s to offer its employees interactive financial advice, meaning staff can go online to request face-to-face advice and explore personal financial issues relevant to their circumstances.

Geof Pearson, pensions manager at Sainsbury’s, said: “Install-ing My Financial Friend via our pensions website opens up access to further financial information and advice, complementing the range of existing staff benefits.”
