Staff at security firm Securicor Cash Services have accepted an inflation-busting pay deal after GMB union members at the company voted 3 to 1 in favour.
The new deal will see workers receive an 11.3 per cent pay deal over the next two years.
The agreement provides a 5 per cent pay rise with effect from February, and a further 6 per cent rise from February 2004.
Securicor handles two-thirds of the economy's cash - £1.5bn a day - as they refill cash points and deliver cash to and from banks. This pay deal covers 6,000 employees across Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
