Shell’s
Open University received an “honourable mention” at the Corporate University
Xchange/Financial Times Excellence Awards in Las Vegas after being in operation
for only five months.
Its
European-based corporate university has signed up 4,000 Shell employees of a
potential 10,000 exploration and production professionals in the first few
months of operation.
The
students can attend learning centres around the world, undertake online courses
and gain recognised accreditations towards partner university degree
programmes.
