Fewer bosses paid for an office Christmas party this year, according to The Institute of Management.
Only 37 per cent of the 158 firms surveyed paid for a festive do, compared with 44 per cent last year.
Almost eight out of 10 employers questioned said their firm did not pay workers a Christmas bonus.
However, six out of 10 managers did make a contribution to staff parties, as they believe it boosts morale.
