Star Computers and Octopus HR link up to provide integrated Payroll and HR solution

Leading Payroll specialist Star Computers Limited and award winning online hosted HR software company Octopus, today announced a new business partnership to provide clients with a fully-integrated payroll and HR system.

Star Computers’ Payroll Professional software is used to process payrolls for over 70,000 organisations, through bureau service providers and on-site installations. Clients can now gain business advantage from the Octopus HR suite of applications, combining Payroll Professional’s extensive functionality with a simple-to-use web-based HR, compensation and employee benefits solution.

Judith Blechner, Chairman of Star Computers said: “There has been increasing demand from our Payroll clients for an integrated HR solution and we believe that with Octopus HR we are well set to fulfil that demand.  We also believe that this HR option will offer our Bureau clients an excellent opportunity to enhance Payroll services for their own clients.”

Chris Beaumont, Director of Octopus, added: “We are delighted with this new agreement. It offers customers an excellent choice of human resource solutions, extending the breadth and depth of functionality for payroll and HR requirements. Octopus HR is committed to the satisfaction of our clients and we are therefore very pleased to be working with Star.”

Star Payroll Professional imports employee information, permanent pay rates, pension contributions and variable payroll run dates from Octopus HR and exports information needed to populate self-service payslips and P60s in the Octopus Employee Portal.

The new combined system can transform the way a business controls, manages and delivers HR across the organisation, resulting in an efficient, pro-active and compliant HR and payroll environment that creates significant time and cost savings for the business.  Available via web browser 24/7, the HR system can be accessed from any location – the office, a remote site, an employee’s home or even a mobile device.
