A group of students are being given the chance to launch their careers at
major professional services firms this Friday, as part of an industry-first
careers event aimed at ethnic minorities.
‘Big 4 Chances – ethnic minorities into professional services’ will let 100
students to gain an insight into careers at Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG
and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
The students will spend the morning at Ernst & Young, where they will hear
from the four firms about jobs in the sector and will be able to talk to recent
graduates about their experiences.
The day ends with a reception hosted by PwC, where the students will be able
to network with senior industry figures.
Mark Blythe of event organiser, graduate careers publisher GTI, said:
"Professional services firms have recognised that they need to build more
diverse workforces to retain their competitive edge."
"The Chances programmes enable top organisations to reach out to the
best ethnic minority graduates," he added.
