Specialist copywriting agency, The Writing Stable, has seen a 500% increase in demand for its in-house training courses over the last three months. As marketing budgets are currently restricted or frozen by many organisations, marketers are fighting back by producing more company marketing materials in-house. This has led to an increase in demand for copywriting skills training for marketing professionals.
Fierce competition across many markets means the need to actively promote continues for most companies. At the same time, a squeeze on budgets has increased the need for more activity to be generated in-house. Rather than outsourcing to full service marketing or advertising agencies, many organisations are attempting to maintain levels of promotional activity and reduce their marketing costs by making far greater use of their own internal resources.
“Improving in-house copywriting skills can only be a good thing for business.” comments The Writing Stable’s Managing Director, Sue Johnston. “Applying professional copywriting techniques can make a big difference to the quality of business communications. It’s also great news for individuals too, as these are entirely transferrable skills.”
This month, RADA Enterprises called in The Writing Stable to reinvigorate the copywriting skills of their in-house marketing and events team. RADA Enterprises generates funds from communication skills training, corporate entertainment, event management services and venue hire. All of their revenue is used to support the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). “We felt this course was extremely relevant to our issues. It will definitely help us improve our copy across all our materials.” concludes Linda Carter, Marketing & Brand Manager at RADA Enterprises.
