Plymouth teachers and students will take part in a rally tomorrow, to protest against job losses and funding cuts.
The rally, organised by members of the University and College Union (UCU), will take place at City College Plymouth, writes the Herald.
Part of the union’s ‘defend jobs, defend education’ campaign, the rally also intends to show how budget cuts will affect services in the city.
UCU regional officer Nova Gresham said: “The bottom line is that cuts have consequences. If the South West wants to play its part in helping the UK out of recession, we cannot have teachers on the dole queue and students left without a college or university place.
