Robertson to leave BA
Neil Robertson, director for people at British Airways, is to leave the airline at the end of the month after 30 years. He has led the company’s people agenda for the past four years and championed the UK’s first airline drug and alcohol testing policy. Robertson said he was seeking new career opportunities.

Unemployment falls
Unemployment fell by 29,000 in the three months to November 2006, according to the Office for National Statistics. The unemployment rate was down 0.1 percentage points to 5.5% over the last quarter. However, unemployment increased by 139,000 over the year, to reach 1.67 million, the statistics showed.
