Tens of thousands of jobs will be made available in education, tourism and sport under a new £1bn government scheme, according to Sky News.
The 47,000 government-created posts will include sports coaches, tourism ambassadors and education assistants, and are to offer a minimum-wage salary and last for six months.

The roles will be made available to 18 to 25-year-olds who have been out of work for a period of one year or more.
The report added that a further 100,000 short-term posts for young people will be announced by the government later this year.
