Eurostar
train managers and South West Trains staff are staging a series of strikes over
pay this week and early in the New Year.
Around
2,000 South West Trains staff are to stage two 48-hour strikes over pay.
Staff
on the train service that operates in and out of Waterloo Station, London, will
walk out on 3 and 7 January.
The
industrial action by members of the RMT union is over train drivers being given
higher pay awards than other staff.
Eurostar
train managers are staging the first of six strikes on Friday over the gap in
pay between them and train drivers.
In a
separate dispute, French Eurostar drivers are also threatening to strike from
tomorrow to Sunday.
