UBS bank will hire hundreds of new bankers and traders after reporting profits of £1.3bn for the first quarter of 2010.
Despite cutting about 17,000 employees since 2007, the Swiss bank is now looking to recruit hundreds of new staff in offices including London, the Guardian has reported.

The company added it was in talks with property firm British Land about building a new UK headquarters in the City, where it employs 6,300 people.
Oswald Grübel, UBS’ chief executive, said the outlook for the second quarter was positive, and the bank was “well positioned to meet our medium-term goals”.
