Most
large UK companies have little to fear from the forthcoming European directive
on information and consultation, a report by the Involvement and Participation
Association claims.
The
study Sharing the Challenge Ahead: Informing and Consulting with your
Workforce finds that a large number of organisations already have practices
in place that go far beyond the requirements of the proposed directive.
"We
have known for years there is a rich vein of good practice in the UK,"
said IPA director Willy Coupar.
"This
report brings the evidence together for the first time. Any organisations
following these examples will be in the forefront of good practice."
