industry.
The
offer includes a basic pay increase worth 10.8 per cent over two years, a new
maternity pay scheme that will mean staff will receive full salary for up to 40
weeks and a doubling of paternity provision to 10 days at full pay.
Two
extra service-related holidays plus holiday bonuses of £275 in year one and
£285 in year two have also been negotiated.
Tony
Woodley, the union’s chief negotiator for the car industry, said, "This is
a very good deal indeed and one I believe won’t be bettered in industry this
year. It should now be the benchmark for the industry."
