Disciplinary
procedures are the biggest concern for UK businesses according to research by
Croner Consulting.
Croner,
which offers business advice, compiled a list of the major concerns by keeping
records of calls to its enquiry line.
Disciplinary
issues topped the poll, drawn-up over the first four months of the year,
closely followed by employee absence and redundancy.
Peter
Etherington, helpline manager at Croner, said the 2002 Employment Act had
prompted concern among businesses of all sizes to ensure procedures were up to
standard.
