The number of teleworkers in the UK has increased by 70 per
cent since 1997 according to a new study.
Conducted by Labour Market Trends magazine, the study
found that two-thirds of teleworkers – people who work at least one day a week
away from the office and use a computer or phone – are men.
In all, around 7 per cent of the total workforce have opted
to work from home for part of the week.
