The
number of people out of work and claiming unemployment benefit has increased
for the first time this year.
Official
figures show a rise of 1,300 in June to 952,400.
In
May, the number fell by 7,000.

Figures
also show that average earnings rose by 3.8 per cent in the year to May, up by
0.5 per cent from the previous month.
