A partnership deal between Thames Water and trade unions has received a £50,000 award from the DTI.
The company received the maximum sum allowed from the government’s Partnership Fund and was one of only 41 from 160 applicants to be given an award.
The partnership was agreed on in August with Unison, the GMB, the AEEU and the TGWU.
It aims to introduce new forums to enhance employee involvement, training and development initiatives and work-life balance schemes for part-time working.
