Newcastle City Council has launched a pilot scheme to make it easier for
people to find jobs.

Job vacancies in the city will now be displayed on touch screen job points
in Jobcentres as part of the council’s push for complete electronic access to
services.
The council said it was important to harness technology to put people back
into work, particularly the long-term unemployed.
