World’s largest law firm improves employee satisfaction levels

Clifford
Chance, the world’s largest law firm, has greatly improved staff satisfaction,
according to a survey in American Lawyer magazine.

The
law firm achieved the largest percentage improvement in the magazine’s annual
job satisfaction survey.

Last
year Clifford Chance came last in the list of 132 firms, but this year rose to
128th out 159, which American Lawyer put down to ‘partners trying harder’.

Last
year Clifford Chance hit rock bottom after a 13-page memo by junior lawyers
working for the firm suggested there was deep discontent among employees.

firm itself said the results were encouraging and the improvement showed ‘we
are heading in the right direction’.
