Eurostar’s cleaners have called off plans to take industrial action against their employer over jobs and pay, the BBC has reported.
Positive meetings between the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union and cleaning contractor Carlisle Group yesterday (Thursday) led to the decision to halt strikes planned for 23 and 25 October and 6 and 8 November.
Workers were also planning industrial action to protest against the use of fingerprinting machines, used instead of clocking-in machines, at the station in April.
