Monster’s Target SMS launches in UK

Monster, the premier global online employment solution, has launched its Target SMS service in the UK to send the latest relevant vacancies direct to Monster users’ mobile phones.

Job seekers whose CVs match an employer’s search criteria can now be notified of job opportunities by SMS. They can then immediately apply for the vacancy and speed up the application process.

Receiving messages is completely free* to all job seekers when they opt into the service at monster.co.uk.
 
Employers often need to fill vacancies fast and finding candidates quickly helps.

Target SMS gives candidates access to vacancies when they are not near a computer, keeping them one step ahead in their job search and providing employers with a faster turnaround in the time to hire.
 
“Target SMS is a highly effective way of making people aware of job vacancies that match their qualifications, no matter where they are,” said James Brian, Director of Product at Monster UK and Ireland.

“For people that do not have access to a computer, it’s a streamlined way of making sure they don’t miss out on their dream job. In many industries, such as retail and manufacturing, vacancies are filled quickly and if you are not able to apply swiftly, you fall out of contention – particularly in today’s highly competitive market.
