Linpac deploys Cezanne’s International HR Software across the UK, Europe and America

by Personnel Today 17 Jun 2009
by Personnel Today 17 Jun 2009

The Linpac group is a £1.1bn global business made up of four core divisions which together offer their customers tailored packaging and materials handling products and services. Linpac’s 8,100 employees are based out of 90 locations worldwide providing packaging and supply chain solutions across five continents.

Linpac invested in Cezanne’s international HR and talent management software solution more than 2 years ago and it is now deployed across the UK, mainland Europe and America.

Jacki Sanderson, Linpac’s UK HR Manager comments: “Before we introduced Cezanne’s Software we faced a number of key challenges, including poor HR metrics in that we had no group wide data for basic headcount, the performance management process was paper based and we were unable to manage our talent effectively or create global succession plans. We have come a long way and the fact that Cezanne has such a strong track record in implementing international HR software solutions has helped enormously.”

Jacki continues: “We now have a single, consistent view of people, positions and performance across the group. The multilingual capability of the software means that when users in different countries log-in all data forms, reports and prompts are in their native language. If the system had only partial language capabilities then we would not have achieved a global roll-out or received buy in at a local level. Local sites track core HR information and align themselves with the Group’s business objectives. Head office track’s global HR information providing us with a clear understanding of how we are achieving against the Group’s business objectives.”

“One of the reasons that we chose Cezanne was their strength and experience in providing strategic HR functionality. Bog standard HR administration systems serve a purpose, however in my opinion they add little or no value to the business. With Cezanne’s strategic HR software, succession planning and career development information is available to our key decision makers to help them be pro-active in managing the talent pool, to develop high performers, to fill current and future positions, increase retention rates and reduce the direct and indirect costs of external hires.”

Jacki finishes – “HR is faced with many challenges in these turbulent times, however I am relieved that Linpac has Cezanne’s software to support our business activities. The biggest compliment I can pay Cezanne and the team is that I am always happy to recommend them to future clients.”

Julie Windsor, Director of Operations for Cezanne UK & Benelux, comments: “Cezanne is very proud to work with Linpac to support their international HR and talent management software solution. The project has been extremely exciting and rewarding for all involved.”
