by Personnel Today 20 Feb 2008
by Personnel Today 20 Feb 2008

Giunti Labs, Europe’s only ‘native’ content management and learning technology provider, has expanded its senior management team.

Andrea Gentili has been appointed Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Giunti Labs after 18 years experience within the ICT and consulting industry in several senior management positions in Italy, Southern Europe and the UK.

Gentili has responsibility for global sales, marketing and business development activities, including all Giunti Labs’ subsidiaries worldwide.

In addition to the subsidiaries in the UK, USA and Germany, Giunti Labs has recently announced the opening of offices in Sweden and Australia.

Gentili has extensive experience in the management of strategic planning, sales, business development, client management and alliances, business transformation / change management, business processes and relevant IT systems / infrastructure, shared services, procurement and sourcing/outsourcing.

Before joining Giunti Labs, Gentili was Vice President UK Business Development and Operations at Finmeccanica Group Services. Previously, he was Vice President with responsibility for the Telecom & Media Business Unit at Capgemini Italy.

He has also been Sales Director at Lucent Technologies and Business Development Manager for South Europe at EMC. He has worked also as Principal at IBM Global Services and a Manager at Accenture.

Giunti Labs has also appointed Paolo Sicca as its Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for managing and optimising all Giunti Labs’ product and service delivery processes.

Sicca, who has a degree in Information Science, started his career as a system designer at the Fiat research centre and then at Wabco Westinghouse / Ansaldo, simultaneously researching Petri network applications in an event-driven software environment.

For the last ten years, he has worked at General Electric as Development Manager, managing large, multinational software projects, focusing on e-commerce and applying SIX-SIGMA methodology.

Since 2001, Paolo has carried out various roles, such as CIO and COO, focusing on organisation and change management in Comtech, and Alpina and Merlo.

Fabrizio Cardinali, Giunti Labs’ CEO, commented: “These appointments will help Giunti Labs to move to the next level – as a worldwide learning and knowledge management technology provider.

“In recent months, Giunti Labs has opened new offices – in Sweden and in Australia – and established a wholly-owned subsidiary in the UK in the light of some excellent trading results in the UK in 2007. We have further plans for international growth and both Andrea and Paolo have much to contribute as this further expansion takes place.”
