Healthcare products manufacturer Johnson & Johnson Services has signed a $1bn (£500m) deal with human resources services provider Convergys.
The 10-year deal is to provide a variety of HR services for the global company, which owns brands including Listerine, Pepcid and Benylin.Convergys said it expected the contract to generate revenues of approximately $1bn over its duration, boosting the company’s revenues from early 2009.
Bill Price, a spokesman for Johnson & Johnson, said: “This is a case of shifting the administrative and transactional aspects of HR services to an outside provider. This allows us to improve efficiencies and focus our resources in areas of core competencies and innovation.”
