LMMatters is publishing a case study with leading international law firm Eversheds at the World of Learning Conference and Exhibition on 27-28 September. The case study shows how Eversheds, named as the Financial Times’ most innovative law firm in Europe 2010, saved both time and money using a blend of learning technologies.
LMMatters CEO Martin Baker will also be talking about the need to do ‘more for less’ when he participates in the conference panel debate: ‘How can L&D deliver with reduced time and budgets?’
Leading international law firm Eversheds – named the most innovative law firm in Europe 2010 by the Financial Times – saved both time and money using a blend of learning technologies, including Harvard ManageMentor, the world-leading online leadership and management development programme.
Aligned to a strategic ‘people plan’, Harvard ManageMentor enabled Eversheds employees to achieve high performance – essential at a time of increased competition in the legal industry.
This learning technologies success story is now being jointly published at WOLCE by leadership and management online learning specialists LMMatters and Towards Maturity, the highly regarded benchmarking organisation which developed the case study.
LMMatters CEO Martin Baker, one of the top ten most influential people in eLearning in the UK, will also be talking about ‘doing more for less’ when he takes part in the lunchtime panel discussion at 1.40pm on Tuesday 27 September in the World of Learning Conference. The topic up for debate is: ‘How can L&D deliver with reduced time and budgets?’
Martin Baker commented:”Doing ‘more for less’ is the L&D mantra of our times. The L&D landscape has changed significantly in the last few years, and it is only right that we address the issue in an intelligent manner, so I’m looking forward to taking part in what I hope will be a lively debate.”
LMMatters MD James Reed, who is also presenting a seminar at the show, added: “It has never been more imperative that L&D budget is spent in the most appropriate manner. I’ll explain the best way to appeal to different types of leaders and managers, as part of a multi-media approach to cost effective leadership and management development.”
In the seminar, at 4.15pm on Tuesday 27 September, James will be talking about groundbreaking research which reveals what learning methods leaders and managers like best – the answers, he says, may surprise you. The independent, not-for-profit organisation Towards Maturity carried out the unique study, which examined the effectiveness of learning technologies for leadership and management development.
LMMatters will also be showcasing at its stand – number 140 – the latest editions of both Harvard ManageMentor and LMKnowledge: globally renowned and cost effective solutions that are delivering learning at the point of need.
The latest edition of Harvard ManageMentor includes new topics – including global collaboration and ethics at work – to help modern leaders meet modern challenges. RSS feeds from trusted sources and a Management Tip of the Day ensure there is always fresh new content; while videos, featuring some of the leading academics in the world, from Harvard Business School, ensure there are always fresh new insights.
Visitors will also learn how UK and international firms are using LMKnowledge – a multi-media collaborative information resource – to share knowledge and reinforce corporate communications.
