HR manager out of The Apprentice

by Mike Berry 30 Mar 2006
by Mike Berry 30 Mar 2006

Former HR manager Jo Cameron became the sixth person to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar on the BBC reality series The Apprentice.

She was sacked last night after her fourth appearance in Sugar’s boardroom after her team lost competition to complete the weekly task.

Cameron, 35, worked as an HR manager at MG Rover for 15 years before being made redundant 18 months ago when the firm went into administration.

She claims to have trained firm’s senior management on sales techniques. “No wonder the firm went bust with people like her about,” Sugar said last night.

Since leaving The Apprentice, Cameron – who describes herself as “loopy and a bit mad” – has  launched a recruitment website aimed at improving workplace diversity called urhired.co.uk.
