EasyJet CEO Carolyn McCall will speak at the Escaping Silo Syndrome event
Awarded an OBE for services to women in business three years ago, McCall has held various non-executive directorships and was named Veuve Clicquot’s business woman of the year in 2008.

The conference, which takes place at the Royal Society of Medicine, London, on 24 May, will be chaired by BBC Radio 5 Live’s Shelagh Fogarty and will feature a series of presentations and discussions on “silo syndrome” from speakers and panelists, including the England cricket team’s managing director Hugh Morris.

Silo syndrome, where different functions of an organisation fail to communicate and interact with each other, can affect business and HR issues such as productivity and talent management.

The conference, organised by Bernard Hodes Group and sponsored by Personnel Today, will feature discussions from a number of respected business leaders and senior HR practioners and will explore why silo syndrome is still prevalent and what businesses are doing to tackle it.
