I was astounded to learn that employers are wasting more than £30m a year on under-performing staff. The knock-on effect this must have on productivity in UK organisations is significant.

I accept the points made about company culture and line managers being to blame. But I am wondering why lack of training wasn’t mentioned. In my experience, most under-performers are not happy to be so, and would welcome the opportunity to develop their skills if it were offered.
