Universal Music Group, the world’s largest record company, is merging its UK-based HR departments as part of a wider business review.
The home of artists such as Brit Awards nominee Kaiser Chiefs, is looking at how its international arm, based at London’s St James’s Square, can work more closely with its UK division based in nearby Kensington. Malcolm Swatton, the UK division’s HR director, has been promoted to senior vice-president of HR for the group and is currently integrating the two teams. There will be no HR job cuts.
