Anxious managers
Organisations are slow to learn from change and poor at reviewing the processes involved. These are some of the findings from this year’s Management Agenda report by Roffey Park. It finds that as a result, managers are overworked and in need of stress-busting training.

Boost for developers
Business school Ashridge has joined the European Foundation for Management Development in launching a new open programme for management development professionals. The Learning, Innovation, Networking and Knowledge Programme (known as LINK) is said to help participants develop and implement management development strategy.

High performance Cove
A partnership between the Learning and Skills Council and the National College for Motorsport (known as NC4M) has led to its being awarded status as Centre of Vocational Excellence. The Cove status denotes that it will receive special funding from the LSC for the provision of business-specific training. A state of the art motorsport training site will open at Silverstone in May.

Banking on analysis
Training needs analysis (TNA) has reached a landmark at financial giant Lloyds TSB. The company has completed its 500th TNA study with KnowledgePool, since the learning services company took responsibility for the function in an outsourcing contract in 2001.

Apprenticeship awards
The Learning and Sector Skills Council is rewarding employers who are successfully using apprenticeships to improve business performance at the National Apprenticeship Awards 2005. The ceremony will be held on 16 June in London. Call the awards team on 0800 019 2083 to apply.
