New CSR website

The Government has launched a new corporate social responsibility (CSR)
website to provide a single port of call for information on how it is
supporting the development of CSR. Steven Timms, minister of CSR, has also
announced the publication of the Corporate Social Responsibility: a Government
update report, which outlines progress towards meeting the Government’s goal to
see CSR become mainstream practice.  www.csr.gov.uk

Met Morris Inquiry

The 43,000 staff at the Metropolitan Police will be surveyed as part of the
Morris Inquiry into professional standards. They will be asked questions on
areas such as communication and employment policies, as well as feedback on the
experience of working for the Met. It is hoped the feedback will help to provide
a greater insight into working for the Met.  www.morrisinquiry.gov.uk

Rude under pressure

At least two-thirds of staff are rude when under pressure, according to a
report on office etiquette. Ignoring colleagues, talking out of turn, swearing
and turning up late are all commonplace, according to a survey of 1,000 staff
by recruitment firm Office Angels.  www.office-angels.com
