Oxford
and Cherwell College has appointed Lorraine Nowlan as its first director of HR
following the merger of North Oxfordshire, Oxford and Rycotewood Colleges. The
new multi-site college employs more than 1,200 staff and aims to make a major
difference to the students, employers and regional business of central, north
and east Oxfordshire.

Joplings, the north-east based department store group, has appointed Beth
Groener as training manager. She joins from Lloyds Pharmacy and brings a wealth
of knowledge to the position. Based at the group’s headquarters in Sunderland,
Groener will be responsible for implementing and developing the training system
for all departments and divisions.

Rita Dora has been appointed director of human capital at technology company
Crown Castle UK. She will be responsible for overseeing the company’s
recruitment, development, performance management and reward programmes. Dora
previously worked in various operational and strategic roles within the Royal &
Sun Alliance Insurance Group.
