law firm Lees Lloyd has promoted Chris Blackburne to director of HR. His
promotion comes as a result of the need for a more commercial business
structure and an expansion of the practice. He joined the company in 1998, and
has more than 20 years of management training and experience.

Simon
Whitehead is the new personnel manager for the Tesco Extra store in Poole,
Dorset. He moves internally from a post as training manager. His primary focus
will be on the development of staff, and trying to create leaders within the
store. He will also be responsible for employment law and training.
Ferry
operator P&O has appointed Sharon Looker as an HR manager at the head
office in Dover. Her role will cover all aspects of HR across the work-force.
She joins from Boots, where she worked as a regional pharmacy resourcing
manager. Prior to that, she was area HR manager for Boots stores in Kent.
