The
Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has organised a Temporary
Workers Week to raise awareness of the issues facing the UK’s agency staff and
recognise their value to the economy.
The
week, 7 – 11 July, is designed to highlight the contribution of the nation’s
one million temporary workers and raise the profile of their business
contribution.
Temporary
professionals play an integral role in UK competitiveness enabling companies to
staff more strategically and avoid peaks and troughs in business.
The
REC also claims that by hiring temps, organisations can maintain productivity
and avoid the burnout of full-time staff.
