British Airways and Unite due to resume talks

British Airways looks set to resume talks with union Unite this afternoon in a bid to avert further strike action.

Cabin crew angered by pay and conditions are currently in their third day of a five-day walkout.

But Unite, which represents the bulk of the flight attendants, has threatened another 10 days of strikes if the dispute is not resolved.

Almost a week ago, the union won an appeal against a High Court ruling which found its planned strikes against the airline were unlawful.
