Despite improvements in search engines, the Internet can still seem like an
unfathomable mass, especially when you’re looking for something specific in a
hurry. An area such as recruitment, for instance, will always bring back plenty
of returns, but not necessarily the companies that specialise in the area
you’re looking for. Hotmole is a new free service for HR professionals that
claims to deliver exactly this. Select type of recruitment (executive search,
interim, contracting etc), sector, job function, area and salary (the latter is
optional), and it will return a number of specialists in this field which can
be contacted by e-mail from within the site. There are currently 15,000 UK
recruitment agencies on Hotmole’s central database, which pay to be on the site
(so it’s free for the recruiters), and it will soon be extended to overseas
companies. Candidates can use the service to register their details with a
specific agency. As well as the search facility, Hotmole.com offers links to HR
and recruitment software companies and financial and marketing services.
