The fire service is the most credible employer in the UK, according to an EmCred survey by TMP Worldwide.
Employers in the public sector scored highly, with nursing and the police service ranking fourth and fifth in the list of the UK’s top 10 most credible employers.
The survey also challenged some employment myths. The public sector, often portrayed as unglamorous, was the clear sector leader in terms of popularity.
More than 10,000 adults participated in the EmCred study which surveyed 125 major UK employers.
