Department for Business and Trade (DBT)

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is responsible for economic growth, supporting businesses to invest, grow and export, creating jobs and opportunities across the UK. It was formed in February 2023 following a department reshuffle that saw it take on various responsibilities previously fulfilled by the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Department for International Trade (DIT).
