Consultancy Accenture has opened a new business process outsourcing (BPO) centre in Romania which will deliver services in HR, finance and procurement. Over the next three months, the company is planning to recruit 1,000 new staff to work in Bucharest, initially engaged on projects for consumer goods giant Unilever. Accenture, which already has operations in Bratislava, Prague, Riga and Warsaw, signed a global outsourcing deal earlier this year with Unilever to provide a broad range of HR services. The seven-year contract covers services from recruitment to payroll processing and performance management in 100 countries.
