Accor Services recognised as Investor in People

by Personnel Today 20 May 2008
by Personnel Today 20 May 2008

Accor Services, a leading provider of employee benefits, rewards and loyalty services has been awarded Investors in People status, recognising the company’s ongoing commitment and good approach to recruitment, training and development, employee communication and engagement, and leadership.

This is the fourth time Accor Services has received the accreditation since first achieving the award in 1999.

This year, the IiP assessors were particular taken by the enthusiasm and commitment of Accor Services employees, as well as recruitment, development opportunities and ‘AccorFlex’, the benefits package available to employees.

Managing Director Patrick Langlois said:

“Accor Services brand is built on ‘making life / work better’ for our customers and their employees. This is only possible by having great people, who are highly skilled, motivated and engaged in our business and that of our customers. We are a people organisation working in a people industry. We are pleased the assessors recognised this and were able to tell us what all of our colleagues tell us – that Accor Services is a great place to work, and a really good environment where people build on their skills and fulfil their potential.”

Accor, the European leader and a major global group in hotels, as well as the global leader in services to corporate clients and public institutions, operates in nearly 100 countries with 150,000 employees.

It offers to its clients over 40 years of expertise in two core businesses:

Services, with 30 million people in 40 countries benefiting from Accor Services products in human resources, marketing services and expense management.

Hotels, with the Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel, Mercure, Suitehotel, Ibis, all seasons, Etap Hotel, Formule 1 and Motel 6 brands, representing 4,000 hotels and nearly 500,000 rooms in 90 countries, as well as strategically related activities, such as Lenôtre.
