A new range of short courses aimed at developing necessary management skills of team leaders and first line managers will be available with Alliance Learning from January 2008.

In response to the demands of businesses, Alliance Learning, a leading provider of training and development courses across a variety of industry sectors, have designed a new range of short courses to enhance management skills for businesses in the UK.

The range of one-day courses include Problem Solving, Presentation Skills, Recruitment & Selection, Team Leading, Team Briefing and Managing Change and provide delegates with practical ways to improve their leadership and management skills along with an informed update on the latest legislation, regulations and industry standards that first line managers and team leaders need to know.

The courses, which can be delivered on site or at Alliance Learning’s headquarters in Horwich, have been developed by Management Training Co-ordinator, Ian Chadderton, who has over 20 years experience in delivering management and leadership training. Commenting on the course programme, Ian says:

“Businesses often find it difficult to release people for week-long training courses. What team leaders and managers often need are short, one-day courses that address an individual’s training and development needs, such as how to conduct effective appraisals, how to recruit the right people using the best methods and how to motivate teams.”

Courses are priced at £175 each and can be tailored to match the specific requirements of any business regardless of industry or size. For more information call 01204 677 811 or visit www.alliancelearning.com

Alliance Learning is one of the North West’s largest independent training providers, with centres in Bolton, Horwich, Leigh and Radcliffe. The organisation has over 40 years experience in the training industry and specialises in the recruitment and training of young people through the delivery of Government funded apprenticeship programmes across a range of occupational areas. In addition Alliance Learning operate a commercial division, which includes learndirect, providing a wide range of courses across various industry sectors to companies throughout the UK.
