Thousands of train drivers are ready to leave rail union Aslef if Shaun Brady is not reinstated as general
secretary, it has emerged.
Supporters of Brady and his deputy Mick Blackburn, who was
also sacked by Aslef, are drawing up plans to set up
a breakaway union, according to the Daily
Telegraph.
The newspaper says feelings are still running high over the
sacking of the Brady and Blackburn, who were dismissed
earlier this month for failing to co-operate with an inquiry and falsifying a
signature respectively.
The two men plan to take their cases to Aslef’s
annual conference in Scarborough next month.
