More good news for Aurion Learning. The award winning online learning company has just announced that it has been awarded a contract to develop an e-learning programme for the Irish affiliate of pharmaceuticals giant, Roche.

Principles of Musculoskeletal Assessment will be developed as part of a blended learning programme for registered nurses and consultants. The aim is to help these professionals understand their role in relation to accurate and appropriate assessment of musculoskeletal signs, symptoms and functions.

The rheumatology e-learning programme will include over 2.5 hours of online learning spread over five units: Modern Rheumatology Practice; Recognition of Joint Symptoms; Assessment of Degenerative Joint Disease; Inflammatory Joint Disease Assessment and Tools Required for Joint Disease Assessment.

Speaking about the new partnership, Dr. Maureen Murphy, Managing Director at Aurion Learning said: “This is the first time that Roche Products (Ireland) Limited has used online learning so we’re delighted that they are giving us the chance to work with them on this innovative project.

Our challenge is to transform their learning content into a world-class e-learning programme that will engage and delight our target audience group in Ireland and beyond. We are looking forward to introducing a flexible and cost-effective way for Roche to approach learning and development.”

Mr Mark Rodgers, Managing Director at Roche Products (Ireland) Limited, said: ”We are always keen to support the continued medical education of  the healthcare professionals with whom we work, and it’s important for us to identify innovative ways of doing this. This is the first e-learning project developed in this medical area and is also our first experience of such a programme. We are delighted to work with Aurion on this project and are finding their expertise and guidance invaluable.”
