Europe’s
largest employers are still finding it difficult to attract the best graduate
talent, despite the economic downturn and a sharp fall in the number of
vacancies.
A
survey of major European organisations has found that many are still struggling
to recruit high-quality candidates.
Although
the average number of applicants per vacancy has risen by 55 per cent, 88 per
cent of employers predict continued competition for the best people.
The
European Recruiters’ Report by consultancy Pauffley also found that despite
this, 66 per cent have scaled down recruitment this year.
