British Safety Council Awards (BSC Awards) has announced the launch of two new professional qualifications which it hopes will make UK workplaces healthier and safer.
The BSC Awards Certificate and Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health have been developed in consultation with a range of expert organisations across industry.
Both qualifications will provide candidates with the academic element required for membership at the appropriate level of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
David Ballard, director general of the BSC, says: “With health and safety establishing itself as a key aspect of corporate life, the health and safety sector needs to become more professional in everything it does.
