Nearly
half of all Briton’s think it’s acceptable to have an alcoholic drink over
lunch, while the majority of our European counterparts believe it’s
unacceptable at any time during the working day.
An
online survey of 2,158 Britons by recruitment website Monster.co.uk found that
46 per cent believe it is ‘acceptable to have an alcoholic drink during the
working day’.
However,
when the survey was repeated across Europe the figures were significantly
different.
Of
23,716 Europeans who answered the poll, 57 per cent said that it was
inappropriate, with The Netherlands, Denmark and Germany being the most
abstemious.
