Business sees benefit of refocusing core activities

Businesses’ efforts to refocus on their core activities and cut costs over
the past few years are starting to pay off, according to findings from Roffey
Park.

Its annual Management Agenda report on 735 general and specialist managers
shows that almost half (46 per cent) are now beginning to see a higher level of
business/organisational performance as a result of the changes.

More than two in three respondents said that HR is still having problems
with managing change, while 57 per cent believe HR is reactive, and 31 per cent
feel that it adds value to the business.  www.roffeypark.com, 01293
