A
new partnership to promote new job opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged
people across the UK has been launched.
The
partnership, between Barclays plc and national charity the Shaw Trust, will
allow people to take advantage of short-term job placements with the bank,
which could then lead to a permanent jobs.
The
trust hopes that other companies will follow Barclays lead.
It
is estimated that 3.6 million people of working age are without employment due
to poor health or disability.
