Minimum wage

Currently Euros 1,217.91 (£825) per month. Collective bargaining agreements generally stipulate a minimum wage that is higher than the National Minimum Wage.

Working time

Legal work time set at 35 hours per week, generally over a five-day week.

Leave

Five weeks’ minimum annual leave. Usually 10 public holidays per year. Maternity leave of 16 weeks for first and second child; 26 weeks for third and any additional children. Additional leave for multiple births.
